Shirin Amin
Designer and Project Manager in Los Angeles
Hi, I am Shirin V. Amin. I am a Los Angeles-based architect, designer Shirin Amin Los Angeles and project manager with over 20 years of experience in luxury real estate development and asset management. I received formal architectural training in North America, Europe, and the Middle East.
I believe that architecture is more than just technical design. It is the art and science of shaping how human beings live, feel, move, connect, heal, dream and remember. At its deepest level, architecture is the translation of human life into space. It is a discipline that opens the mind and fosters a multidimensional view of the world. My education at École d’Architecture de Versailles and foundational studies in Iran allowed me to blend classical foundations with organic creative freedom. I completed a rigorous six-year architectural program at SCI-ARC in just three years, which is a testament to my dedication to the craft.
An architect does not simply create walls and roofs. An architect studies people, light, movement, culture, psychology, proportion, nature, technology, economics and emotion and then tries to recognize all of these into something meaningful and functional.
In 2005, I founded my own business to focus on residential remodelling. Over the last two decades, my role has expanded from design to the comprehensive management of large-scale high-value projects. I have been involved in the development of luxury estates, including a landmark project that sold for $44 million.
Today, I am a general manager and asset manager at Primex World Inc. My expertise includes managing land acquisition, planning, and permits for luxury residential properties. I also manage stock investments and long-term financial stewardship alongside agricultural business projects.
I have a deep interest in practical social-impact architecture, such as low-income and
disaster-response housing. I am a lifelong learner and a devoted patron of the arts. I studied for six years under the renowned modern artist Mr. Nami, who instilled in me a belief that art helps us see nuance in life. This philosophy carries over into my work with the Fine Arts Council of the Farhang Foundation, an organization that celebrates Iranian culture.
Living in LA with my family and children, I prioritize self-development and disciplined growth in all areas of my life. Whether I am managing a multimillion-dollar asset or exploring new skills, my goal is to stay rooted in reality while constantly expanding my vision.
